Aha! I found it! I knew Omar had scanned one of his paintings in progress... So here I present to you "Cucumber Sandwich" from sketch to final...

I have two questions about Omar's process (and if this is answered elsewhere on the interwebs please feel free to redirect.) Do you just do the final drawing right onto the final painting surface, or do you work up a drawing and then transfer it in some way?

Also, it looks like in the third image here that the main character is redrawn with a yellow brush. Why did you do that?

I personally had very little training in watercolors, and so I am fascinated by the myriad of ways that people achieve such luminous paintings.
